When is it recommended to have it performed?

Women aged 18–43 years with symptoms suggestive of endometriosis (e.g. chronic pelvic pain, painful menstruation, painful intercourse).

In cases of infertility, if endometriosis is suspected.

When imaging tests (ultrasound, MRI) do not give clear results, but the symptoms strongly suggest the disease.
